Helping Colorado Springs Smile

Dr. Travis Tuttle completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. Shortly after graduation, he commissioned into the United States Army and completed the Basic Officer Leadership Course at Fort Sam Houston in Texas. He then went on to complete a rigorous 12-month Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, where he received advanced training across all areas of dentistry.
Following his residency, Dr. Tuttle served as an Army dentist with the 673rd DCAS, providing care to soldiers at JBLM, Washington. His military career included a deployment to Poland and five years of service before honorably separating from active duty in 2025. He now practices full-time at Tuttle Family Dentistry and continues to serve in the Colorado National Guard.
Dr. Tuttle values being a well-rounded clinician and takes pride in offering comprehensive dentistry. He enjoys restorative dentistry, oral surgery, and root canal treatment, and his greatest passion is helping patients get out of pain and feel confident in their smiles.
When it comes to patient care, he approaches every appointment with the mindset: “How would I treat my mother, father, or wife?” That philosophy guides everything from the way he communicates to the treatment plans he recommends. He believes in conservative, thoughtful dentistry backed by current research and ongoing learning.
Dr. Tuttle always knew he wanted to work in healthcare and originally imagined himself pursuing medicine. That changed after shadowing his brother, Dr. Brian Tuttle, during his undergraduate years—which ultimately sparked his interest in dentistry and set him on the path he’s grateful to be on today.
When he’s not practicing dentistry, Dr. Tuttle enjoys spending time with his wife, McKenzie, and their two children, Ellie and Hudson. He loves being outdoors, whether that’s running, hiking, or exploring Colorado’s trails. He also enjoys reading and making the most of time with his family.
